Believe it or not? Research data indicates that new supervisors are not very successful in their early stages of being supervisors. There are many reasons for this, but one of the reasons that more than 50% new supervisors said is that organizations do not provide training or knowledge to prepare new supervisors. This results in the first step of being a supervisor being filled with misunderstanding, confusion, and uncertainty. This often leads to making wrong decisions, which leads to many problems later on.
The Supervisor Tactics course, or a collection of techniques that new supervisors need to know, is intentionally designed from an understanding of the pain points that new supervisors face. The course content is divided into more than 30 short VDO clips (updated regularly). It's a Micro Learning style that doesn't require a lot of memorization and can be applied immediately. There are 4 main categories: self-management, team management, subordinate development, and communication.
